Summary:
Compass has set us a huge challenge of double the size of the business, whilst reducing our environmental footprint and enhancing our positive social impact. In driving sustainable profitable growth Supply Chain is playing a fundamental role by reducing environmental footprint and generating savings that can be invested into 'white space' opportunities and support behind Unilever brands.
While a significant progress has been made, the financial-operational link is not transparent because there is no consistent application of rules and there are no integrated performance management tools. To remain successful Unilever cannot continue to operate without the insight provided by linking operations and finance more effectively. To become the best manufacturing in the industry in cost and capital efficiency a different mind ware is required: a mind-set where transparent, current and easily available global performance picture helps to focus on where to improve faster to deliver challenging targets. Building new Industrial Performance capability in Unilever will turbo-charge manufacturing financial outcome and will create a real and sustainable competitive advantage for the future.
The Industrial Performance function will embed the discipline of cost control and cost estimation and will own Manufacturing Standards in IT systems. It will link management theory, business planning and profitability analysis by developing project management skills and value engineering knowledge.
Position
Responsibilities:
Rapidly gain in-depth understanding of the overall factory operations, factory structure and teams responsibilities.
Drive and support the ERP usage by ensuring Industrial Performance guidelines are in place and adequate Master Data management
Support different areas to create manufacturing standards across Unilever factories
Support the IBM team to prepare competencies for Get the basics right and driving the same
Assess factories against Core Business Model and also against additional SAP functionality to obtain set of gaps
Assess the gaps, prioritize them and prepare action plan to mitigate the gaps using training etc
Implement the plan on agreed time lines in pilot factories and roll up the same to all Unilever factories
Create KPIs, hire super users to sustain process of SAP excellence
Create an organization structure to manage SAP excellence from Cluster hub
Work as center of the cluster to follow up on their progress towards SAP excellence
Business partner finance on aligning process of costing and transfer price
Design documents, training materials to make the process scalable
Build change management model to ease the process of implementation and to sustain the process in all the Unilever factories
Think on design of new tools. Coordinate the implementation of Industrial Performance Tools in the Factory related to manufacturing standards anddevelop new capabilitiesin the Factory about Industrial Performance content.
Support Factory Leadership team to manage Factory Performance by designing & implementing manufacturing standards related to the 4M's (Men, Machine, Material and Method).
Support the WCM by establishing priorities and valuing improvement opportunities. Apply problem solving techniques to close the gaps.
Experience:
At least 4-6 years of experience in the Industry
4 year Bachelors Degree required
Previous operational / support experience
Business partnering experience
Experience in project management
Finance cost accounting experience
