Summary:
Prepares and maintains detailed design drawings, schematics or specifications typically using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. Make copies of drawings and maintains information regarding changes to database. Creates, modifies and controls detailed two- and three-dimensional parts and assembly drawings from engineers'' and technicians'' sketches, plans, written and verbal instructions. Make simple decisions but refers most questions/problems to Engineers or team leader. Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with Engineering terminology. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations. Familiarity of CAD/CAM equipment and relationship of CAD to CAM.
DUTIES:
Uses computer assisted design/drafting (AutoCAD, Sketch-Up) equipment and software to develop drawings.
Updates to: Equipment plans, millwork OWE's, Department Blow-Ups - Redlines
Makes prints, scans
Electronic File Documents
Updates Equipment Books
Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings & follow up on
Assist design Assistant with Redline drawings, clock library, matrix, etc
Assist Design Specialist with Sketch-up DWE's
Keep stick set uprated
Other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read and interpret document plans
Ability to work with AutoCAD & Sketch - Up programs
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization to present drawings, etc. with multi-layers to internal management and external clients.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
High skill level in AutoCAD version 2013 or higher.
Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Essential Job Functions:
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
