Senior Java Engineer

My client, a premier media news outlet, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. This position is a long-term contract role that lasts until the end of the fiscal year, at minimum. This person will be joining the Digital Technology team working on identity management, authentication and authorization, and ecommerce applications. While domain knowledge of identity management is preferred, a strong knowledge of engineering, security, algorithms, data structures, performance, scalability, enterprise systems architecture will make it easy to seamlessly integrate with the team. This Senior Software Engineer will be working most closely with 3 other JAVA engineers.
The ideal person should be strong programming with both CORE JAVA and JAVA EE. Framework expertise is required, specifically with Spring, Hibernate, and Struts. Key responsibilities for this job include building new web services, so experience with SOAP, RESTful APIs, XML and JSON are also must have skills. This is a full-stack job so experience working with relational databases (RDBMS) as well as client side technologies (HTML, CSS, Object-Oriented JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX) is needed. Currently, my client is moving away from Oracle and towards MySQL.

The Offer
This position will pay, commensurate with experience, $60.00/hr . After 90 days, this person would be eligible for benefits. The contract will run until the end of 2015, but has the potential to be extended. Local candidates only! Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
